Sandro Bottega shares some Prosecco and laughs at Toronto’s Café Cancan.

 

While it’s always such a pleasure to see Sandro Bottega in Toronto, this time it was great to sit down with him and hear his news regarding his Spirit Of Peace endeavour, a charitable art project, developed with the support of the municipality of Hiroshima, Japan.

Bottega have always been at the forefront of glass art with their special grappa bottlings, and indeed the Bottega distillery has its own grappa bottle museum contained within; this special project, which was first exhibited in Japan at the tail-end of 2017, takes Sandro’s passion to the next level with some seriously intricate glass-work, as shown in the video above.
