I first tasted the wines of Château Le Puy over a decade ago, back in the Jamie Kennedy Wine Bar days. I’ve been wracking my brain attempting to recall who brought the wines in for me to experience, but have had no luck thus far. With this in mind, a few days ago I was delighted to be invited to a tasting of Château Le Puy’s wines at Toronto’s Momofuku with Harold Langlais.

Langlais presents his house’s wines with a gentle and modest confidence that many wineries could learn something from; his manner is decidedly assured but never in any way boastful.

We spoke with him about what makes the wines of Château Le Puy so unique in Bordeaux.
