“Trust Me” menus have become something of a speciality at Edulis
Having already interviewed Tobey Nemeth and Michael Caballo about the opening of their new Niagara Street restaurant Edulis earlier in the year, we felt that the time was right to pay them a little visit and see how they were getting along. On a balmy summer’s night we decided to put our bellies in their capable hands, and goodness me! We were most impressed. The pictures below are from the smaller of the two Carte Blanche menus.
The exterior of Edulis early evening.
Some House Made Bread and a couple of Gilda to begin.
Shaved Raw Porcini, Somked Berkshire Jowel, Salt and Vinegar Porcini Chips
The very best in Front Of House, Ms. Tobey Nemeth
Albacore Tuna with Pea Shoots and Day Lily Flowers
Mussel Escabeche, Green Onions, Almond Sauce
Chef Michael Caballo
Fried Duck Sausage stuffed with Foie Gras
Summer Zucchini Risotto with Shaved Winter Truffles
An amazing Cheese Platter at the end of the night
