Kampai Toronto – Sake Festival

Toronto’s annual sake ‘matsuri’ (festival) is back!  The largest sake event in Canada, Kampai Toronto will showcase over 150 sakes from Japan & North America this year paired with a myriad of appetizers  from top Toronto restaurants.  We look forward to celebrating with you again in 2016.

Whether you are new to sake or a sake enthusiast, Kampai Toronto offers extraordinary sakes from top brewers from Japan and North America, paired with some of Toronto’s top Japanese and international restaurants.

Kampai Toronto allows the Sake Institute of Ontario to reach its principal objective of educating and promoting the responsible consumption and enjoyment of sake. The Sake Institute of Ontario is a not-for-profit trade organization of Ontario-based sake distributors and manufacturers who want to spread the word and educate consumers to the versatility, culture and history of this unique beverage.

This year’s festival will be changing the format slightly to accommodate requests for:

• cheaper ticket options: At $45, the Introductory Tasting Package includes admission and 20 tasting tickets, which means that those of you who want a lighter option for the evening can experience the event for less than ever before. Sake and food tastings are all set between 1 – 6 tickets. Sake pours will vary according to sake grade and brand.

• more food: we heard and we listened! Running out of food wasn’t fun and this new format means that you don’t have to rush to taste the amazing food from our restaurant partners.

• longer tasting period: we have increased the time you have to enjoy the night by an hour and a half so that you are able to taste leisurely and at your own pace.

• more information and education: brand new to this year, we are introducing 2 master seminar classes that will speak to your inner sake geek.

These changes also make sure that we are creating a safe, responsible environment for you to enjoy the night. We have made every effort to keep prices the same for the average attendee. Looking forward to seeing everyone June 3rd!
