Toronto, it’s your last chance to be sake certified this year!

WSET Level 1 Award in Sake will be at IWEG on Saturday, November 25th, taught by Mariko Tajiri

If you work with sake or simply love to drink it, you’ll have a great reason to be drinking (and learning) on a Saturday morning!

The New Sake Series
Yamagata Masamune

That’s Life is pleased to present a tasting and seminar with the brewer and president of Mitobe brewery, Tomonobu Mitobe. The Yamagata Masamune sakes have been reinvented under his guidance and have transformed to have a cult following in Japan and in other carefully selected export markets. 

Traditional methods such as pressing the sake with a wooden fune are utilized alongside modern techniques to amplify the concentration of flavours as well as the expression of each cuvee and tank. 

Mitobe san will be leading the guided tasting to talk about his philosophies on vintage sake, using domaine rice and  other modern sake techniques.
