We recently had the opportunity to sit down and taste with Winemaker Xabier Urruzola from Inazio Urruzola, Basque Country, Spain.

His white and rosado are unlike anything I have ever tasted and were utterly fascinating, making one crave both the region’s lush, green vineyards (pictured in the video), and the much-heralded gastronomy.

I’ll admit that my knowledge of the Getariako Txakolina DO was severely lacking, and so being the information sponge that I am, loved this short but succinct 101 in the region.
