Ex rugby player Bertrand Minchin makes some simply excellent Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir at his winery just outside the lesser-known Loire region of Menetou-Salon.

Earlier this year happened to chance upon Bertrand punching down his top cuvée of Pinot Noir, “Celestin”… with his fists! which was rather impressive to say the least.
