Masciarelli's Chiara Colella shows us her Trebbiannos and Montepulcianos

Masciarelli’s Chiara Colella shows us her range of Trebbiano and Montepulciano

Trebbiano and Montepulciano are a couple of grape varietals that are so often dismissed or overlooked in favour of the Italian wine heavyweights like Sangiovese, Nebbiolo, and the ever-popular Pinot Grigio.

We sat down for a late and languorous lunch with the ebullient (although she does appear rather serious in this video) Chiara Colella of Masciarelli, who did a damn fine job convincing me that these were two grapes that deserve much more attention… not that I really required any convincing.
