Second Harvest collects food from organisations that don’t need it (grocery stores, restaurants, hotels) and brings it to organisations that do like homeless and women’s shelters (see GFR0114). Good Food Revolution caught up with Second Harvest’s Communication Manager, Tonia Krauser to ask her about Lunch Money Day, their big fundraising push on February 17 for the video below. Volunteers will be at subway stations across Toronto to collect “lunch money” donation and Bob Blumer will host a big lunch party at Yonge-Dundas square that day in support of the organisation and its vital work.
