This Jura domaine was founded in the early 1960s and is now run by Bénédicte et Stéphane Tissot. It’s biodynamic, certified by Demeter. The domaine now consists of 32 hectares of vines in the Arbois and Côtes de Jura appellations, with parcels in some of the best sites. Perhaps because of the implementation of biodynamic farming, work here is labour intensive: there are 15 full time employees. Use of sulfur dioxide is minimized.

Full of personality and character, these are the sorts of wines that keep me excited about the job I do, not because they are the world’s greatest ever wines, but rather because they are authentic and different.” – Jamie Goode AKA Wine Anorak

The following wines will be available for sampling at the aforementioned Jura tasting on April 12th :

Crémant du Jura Blanc $23.95 – In Stock – Consignent

89 Wine AdvocateStephane Tissot’s sparking cuvees of Chardonnay and Pinot remain among the finest traditional method sparklers for the money grown anywhere in the world. Seldom is any rush necessary with still wines from the top Jura growers – not even the non-oxidative ones – although the wine’s character will become nuttier, richer, and less citric

Crémant du Jura Indigéne $26.95

92 Wine AdvocateThe result is sensational, one the finest sparkling wines I have ever tasted outside of Champagne, not to mention the finest sparkling wine value ever tasted

2008 Chardonnay Les Bruyères $39.95

2007 Chardonnay Les Graviers 2007 $39.95 In Stock – Vintages LCBO # 167098

90 Wine SpectatorDistinctive aromas and flavors of apple, curry, almond and a briny tang. Rich and creamy in texture, with balance and a refreshing, tactile feel on the finish. Chardonnay. Drink now through 2012

2007 Savagnin $39.95

2004 Arbois Jaune Les Bruyéres $99.95
