Profile Wine Group presents three outstanding value wines at LCBO Vintages February 8th.

TintoNegro Limestone Block Malbec 2015 +404137 $19.95

Malbec has a wonderful affinity for co-fermentation – vinifying with small amounts of Cabernet Franc that lends additional intensity and structure. Cabernet Franc intensifies Malbec’s floral character and adds come finely grained tannins. The wine is aged for 12 months in French oak, 15% new.

Montes Limited Selection Pinot Noir 2017 +37937 $14.95

Very lively ruby red in colour with an expressive nose featuring aromas of tart cherries and fresh strawberries over a floral backdrop with notes of rose petals and wild herbs. Vanilla and caramel aromas blend with those characteristic of the variety. The palate is well balanced with rich natural acidity that makes this a fresh and juicy wine. Its perfectly rounded tannins lend good structure and a sweet sensation that is very characteristic of our Limited Selection Pinot Noir. It has medium volume and good persistence with an elegant and very fruity finish.

Food Pairing: Highly recommended with fettuccine Alfredo, mild, cream soups (mushroom, chicken), veal cutlets, salmon, Camembert cheese, and mushroom risotto.

“A straightforward, fruity wine with berries and some toasted oak. Medium-bodied, fresh and bright. Iron undertones. Drink now.”
