Malcolm Jolley talks to co-founder Chris Braine about the wine tech platform, Cellr…

Chris Braine is a co-founder of Cellr, a start-up tech firm out of Perth, Australia that is poised to change the relationship between wine producer and consumer. As he explains in this video interview we shot on Zoom last week, Cellr is both anti-counterfeit authentication system, but also a track and trace and customer engagement platform. In other words, Cellr allows producers to keep track of where their bottles go, who buys them, and then allows them to engage with them. I have written about wine for long enough to remember when it was rare for a winery to even have a website, and was fascinated to hear how this technology might deepen the relationship between consumer and producer.
