We’re pleased to welcome Fernando Burani, Export manager for Mauro Molino, to Bricco Wine Bar for a special Piemontese wine dinner on Monday, September 23. Fernando will be introducing the newest releases from the winery, paired alongside Chef Cherie Dee Leal’s cuisine.

Mauro Molino was born in Piemonte, grew up amongst the storied hills and iconic vines, and graduated from Alba Winemaking School in 1973. After a few years of making wine in Emilia Romagna, he returned to start his own winery in the Langhe following the passing of his father. In 1982, Mauro started producing wine from one of the smallest and unique single vineyards in the Barolo area: Conca. Mauro’s son Matteo joined the company as winemaker in 2003, and in 2009 his daughter Martina began overseeing the commercial aspects of the company. They have since both graduated from Alba Winemaking School, and are an integral part of the winery. Mauro Molino continues to produce wines in Annunziata of La Morra, with the utmost respect for traditions. They farm 14 hectares, 50% of which is Nebbiolo destined for Barolo.
