The Canadian Association of Professional Sommeliers (CAPS) Best Ontario Sommelier Competition (BOSC) is held every two years, with the winner eligible to compete for the Best Sommelier of Canada title. The events will be held on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at Oliver & Bonacini’s Arcadian Loft, downtown at Queen and Bay.

The day will start with a Qualifying Round for a large group of sommeliers. Join us in the early afternoon to hear the finalists announced and then watch as the chosen few perform a series of food and wine tasks to determine the winner! All competitors are encouraged to stay and watch the excitement as their peers compete.

As the judges huddle, we invite you to enjoy a tasting event featuring at least 18 agents. There will be a selection of wines from around the world with a focus on Ontario. The tasting is open to the public – we are however asking for a $5 donation to attend. That money will go directly to help send this year’s winner to compete abroad.

Finally the winner will be announced during the Gala Dinner and they will be eligible to compete in the Best Sommelier of Canada Competition taking place in Toronto in early 2015.
