Cheyenne Sundance is the founder, boss and farmer in chief at Sundance Harvest Farm, the year-round organic urban farm at Downsview Park. Just 23 years old, Sundance was recognized this month by Toronto’s Planet In Focus International Environmental Film Festival as the 2020 Rob Stewart Youth Eco Hero. Sundance started her farm with purpose: to foster social and food justice and encourage BIPOC and LGBTQ2S to join the urban farming movement. I talked to Sundance last week by Zoom and our conversation makes up the video interview below.
