Two Italian classics are new to Vintages.

Terre d’Aligi Tatone Montepulciano d’Abruzzo 2017 – #994616 – $16.95

The return of this classic Montepulciano d’Abruzzo makes it a weekend for afternoons of Italian charcuterie and cheese boards followed by spaghetti and meatballs, lasagna, or pizza dinners. The wine’s profile is of concentrated red berries, savoury notes, baking spices and hints of purple flowers. Fruit and tannin intertwine for a textured, juicy mouth feel and lingering finish.

San Marzano Talo Primitivo di Manduria 2020 – #455220 – $16.95

Primitivo (a.k.a Zinfandel) is at home in Southern Italy, particularly in Manduria where it is made in styles from dry to sweet. This bottling is dry, full bodied and richly-flavoured with red and black berries, plum, spices, mocha, and vanilla. The silky-smooth tannins, full flavours, and spice notes make it a perfect match for smokehouse barbeque, lamb or game in rich sauces, and aged cheeses.
