Jackson-Triggs Niagara Estate Winery presents  2011 Amphitheatre all-star line-up:

Juno-award winner Sam Roberts will take a break from a hectic tour schedule to deliver a rocking outdoor concert. Sam Roberts highly anticipated fourth studio album, Collider, is set for North American release May 10th, so anticipate old favorites meshed with brand new material.

Juno award-winning Chantal Kreviazuk has released five albums of original music creating international hits such as “Surrounded”, “Feels Like Home” and “Invincible”. This year, Chantal’s performance will be recorded live for DVD release, as well as for future broadcast –a first at the Amphitheatre.

GORD DOWNIE – JULY 22 and 23:

A Canadian music legend in his own right, Gord Downie is back following an unbelievable performance at last year’s Twilight series. Downie continues to work on his own material as well as material for a new album with his band, The Tragically Hip.

COLIN JAMES – JULY 30 and 31:

Yet another Juno award-winner on this year’s roster, crowd pleaser Colin James returns to the stage following the release of “Take It From The Top: The Best Of,” an album that pays tribute to the past and present. The new album features the best rock and pop tracks from James’ impressive 23 year, 13 album recording career, and you can expect a mix of the same at his live performances.

Pure raw amazing talent is what has garnered Canada’s own Serena Ryder such great success and genuine accolades so early in her career.  Known for her powerful vocal range, Ryder who hails from the small town of Millbrook, Ontario, has already earned a Canadian GOLD record, the 2008 JUNO Award for New Artist of the Year, a #1 holiday single for “Calling To Say,”.

13 albums later, Spirit of the West have achieved status as one of the most beloved ‘Legacy Artists’ in Canadian history, having proven themselves to be road-worthy, durable, having toured Canada, the US, UK and Europe consistently, building a dedicated following of fans from all over the world.  They have been inducted into the Halls of Fame / Lifetime Achievement Categories by the Western Canadian Music Association and the Society of Composers and Music Publishers of Canada.

Indie favorite Joel Plaskett will play a number of songs from his latest solo album, Three. The album has been hailed as a “masterpiece 3 disc collection featuring an eclectic blend of styles…A songwriters holy trinity…”Three” marks another landmark in the career of this great Canadian songwriter.”

This all-star cast of five renowned Canadian comedy artists has made a hit out of material invoking the challenges of juggling family life and careers. Starring Kathryn Greenwood (This Hour Has 22 Minutes), Robin Duke (SNL/SCTV), Debra McGrath (Little Mosque on the Prairie), Jayne Eastwood (My Big Fat Greek Wedding) and Teresa Pavlinek (The Jane Show), you need to see it to understand why Eugene Levy calls them “the five funniest women in Canada.”

After another extremely successful year, the 3rd annual Rootstock will make a return appearance in early September. This year’s line-up and details will be announced shortly.
