Ex rugby player Bertrand Minchin makes some simply excellent Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir at his winery just outside the lesser-known Loire region of Menetou-Salon.

Earlier this year happened to chance upon Bertrand punching down his top cuvée of Pinot Noir, “Celestin”… with his fists! which was rather impressive to say the least.

Edinburgh-born/Toronto-based Sommelier, consultant, writer, judge, and educator Jamie Drummond is the Director of Programs/Editor of Good Food Revolution… And he thinks that Bertrand’s top wine is a dead ringer for Norman Hardie’s County Pinot.
