Four Savour Stratford Holiday Tastings are planned for November and December. These tasting events introduce new pairings and tastes providing ideas for holiday entertaining as well as offering a unique outing to toast the holiday season with friends or family. Each Tasting takes place on a Saturday afternoon and features chocolate paired with tea, wine or scotch as well as cheese with beer. The tastings run approximately 90 minutes and have limited capacity ensuring an intimate and fun experience at $30 per person.

The first Tasting features Tea and Chocolate on Saturday November 20 at 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm at Tea Leaves Tea Tasting Bar, 433 Erie Street. Fine loose leaf teas will be paired with chocolate from Rheo Thompson Candies for a delicious and fun experience. Karen Hartwick, Tea Sommelier, will lead the tasting.

On November 27, enjoy a Cheese and Beer Tasting at The Milky Whey Fine Cheese Shop, 118 Ontario Street beginning at 3:00 pm. Great ideas for holiday entertaining will be presented along with pairing a variety of cheeses with three different beers from Creemore Springs Brewery and a cheese fondue made with beer.  Liz Payne, Cheese Connoisseur, will lead the presentation and pairings.

If wine is your holiday entertaining preference, on December 4 at 3:00 pm Foster’s Inn, 111 Downie Street, will host a Wine and Chocolate Tasting with presenters Kristene Steed from Rheo Thompson Candies and Chris Giuliani, of Chateau des Charmes. This popular tasting sold out quickly at Savour Stratford Perth County Culinary Festival, so get your tickets early to avoid disappointment.

The fourth and final tasting in the holiday series is Scotch and Chocolate, a popular taste combination again at Foster’s Inn on Saturday, December 18 at 3:00 pm. Kristene Steed, of Rheo Thompson Candies and Scotch enthusiast, Esther Brown will lead the tasting.

Tickets are $30 per person for each tasting event or purchase all four events for $100. Tickets can be purchased at Stratford Tourism Alliance separately or as part of a Sparkling Stratford Holiday package starting at $130pp based on double occupancy. All tickets are subject to HST.
