Savour Stratford celebrates the holiday season with unique tutored tastings on Saturday afternoons starting November 16.
Local culinary experts share their knowledge and recipes in intimate settings using delicious foods and beverages from cheese to chocolate and tea to Scotch. Group sizes are limited to maximize the enjoyment and offer personal attention. Tickets start at $30 (+HST + handling fee) and can be purchased online here.
November 16: Blue Cheese and Port
A classic pairing of three blue-veined cheeses and three ports offering great ideas for holiday entertaining by Liz Payne at The Milky Whey Fine Cheese Shop, 118 Ontario Street, Stratford, 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm
November 23: Tea and Chocolate
Share an hour of pure bliss with Tea Sommelier, Karen Hartwick exploring the world of tea paired with selected Rheo Thompson chocolate at Tea Leaves Tea Bar, 433 Erie Street Stratford, 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm.
November 30 and December 7: Christmas Cookie Class
An afternoon of hands-on baking fun as chef de cuisine, Erin Delarge guides you in making five different festive cookies recipes to take home and share at Stone Maiden Inn, 123 Church Street Stratford, 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm.
December 14: Scotch and Chocolate
This holiday favourite sipping single malt Scotch paired with selected chocolate is led by Scotch enthusiast, Esther Williamson Brown and Kristene Steed, Rheo Thompson Candies at Foster’s Inn, 111Downie Street Stratford, 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm.
