On May 27 , for just one evening, the stretch of Queen’s Park outside of the Royal Ontario Museum will be transformed into Toronto Taste, the city’s biggest gourmet kitchen and dining room. A veritable who’s who of Toronto chefs will cook their hearts out for Second Harvest, the charity that collects good food that would otherwise be thrown out and delivers it to the agencies that feed the city’s most vulnerable people. Chef and Top Chef Canada star Mark McEwan is a passionate advocate on behalf of Second Harvest, and I caught up with him outside his eponymously named fancy food store in Don Mills to shoot the video on Toronto Taste below.
