Though not a rough winter, it was long one, as many of us were so isolated. It’s such a relief to be able to make outdoor plans with loved ones and be comfortable!
Spring is also the start of so many fisheries: wild BC halibut, black cod and soon ling cod are beautiful fish to be celebrated. The return of fresh lakefish has arrived too! The ice is off the lake and the Hyatt + Taylor families are out on the water. This means whitefish, pickerel, the perches and hopefully some catfish soon too:)
The big spring holidays are around the corner, with Passover just days away and Easter next weekend.

DIY marinated, stuffed whole roast fish
$20 per person, orders taken in pairs only
for two or four: 1 or 2 large sea bream
for six: Arctic char
Our whole, fresh fish that will arrive butterflied (bones out, head on), stuffed to the brim with a luscious mix of slow cooked fennel, onion, tomato, olives + preserved lemons, plus a load of herbs. With a side of chermoula sauce and simple, easy to follow cooking instructions.

We’ve teamed up with the crew at the Living Vine to offer you another beautiful set of wines. This time, Mark has put together a set of THREE that will go with everything spring!
Fedora Prosecco Brut Rose – made with 100% Pinot Noir grapes. This light pink sparkler from Italy shows hints of white flowers, rose, red berries and strawberries
Domaine Ostertag Sylvaner from Alsace 2019 – one of our favourite go-to wines for a delicious, versatile dry white.
Francois de Nicolay Cuvee des Beaux Jours Beaujolais 2019 – our ideal of a ‘glou-glou’ red, great with a little chill and perfect with pretty much any meal.
