Every so often I come across a wine story that absolutely intrigues me, and California’s WarRoom Cellars is one of those.

Taking declining iconic legacy wine brands and giving them a new lease of life is WarRoom’s modus operandi, and my goodness, they do such a great job doing that.

“All for wine, and wine for all” is their slogan, and the work that they have been doing with Bonny Doon, Skyfall, Lapis Luna, and The Big Red Monster is quite remarkable.

In an extended interview with winemaker Nicole Walsh and the Nelson brothers (Evan and Andrew), we look at the inception of WarRoom Cellars and their steadfast progress throughout the years.

This week we look at some of the Skyfall wines currently available through the LCBO for a very modest $18.95 a bottle.

Look out for Part Four next week, when we taste through more of the excellent wines available in our market here in Ontario.
