VOLUNTEER at the 1st international cool climate chardonnay celebration

Be a A 3-day celebration in the vineyards of Niagara, Ontario
July 22 – 24, 2011

Looking for a way to get up close and personal with the winemakers, chefs and
special events of the i4c? As a volunteer, you get a unique “behind the scenes”
perspective on one of Canada’s most exclusive wine and food celebrations.

As a volunteer, you will receive a fun and informative training session, cool i4c
volunteer t-shirts, meals and refreshments throughout the day AND a ticket to the
Toronto Taste and Buy event on Sunday*!

In return, we request the following:
• Priority will be given to volunteers who can work the entire weekend (Friday,
Saturday and Sunday)
• Volunteers will be required to work one of the following shifts daily:
7:00am – 2:00pm | 9:00am – 4:00pm | 4:00pm – 11:00pm**
• Volunteer tasks include breakfast service, session support services, server
assistance at dinner events, set-up and tear down, garbage collection and site
beautification, registration and hospitality services. We request that our
volunteers show the same level of enthusiasm for all tasks.
• If you have special skills that can be an asset to the event, we’d love to hear
about them. Use the “comments” section on the application form to tell us if
you speak a second (or third) language, have experience in banquet service,
grew up on a local farm or vineyard…

Some fine print:
Volunteers are responsible for their accommodations and travel expenses throughout the weekend.
* to qualify for the Toronto Taste and Buy ticket, volunteers must work 3 shifts between Wednesday and Sunday
** for the evening events (Friday night Gala, Saturday evening Cochon and Chardonnay celebration) staff may be required to stay past 11:00pm. Flexibility is appreciated.
