Nicholas Pearce presents Canadian-South African collaboration…

The floral and honeyed Chenin Blanc from Loire put on a brand new cloak when arrived in South Africa, where the grape expresses its richer, fuller, and irresistibly peachy personality.

Dig in, shall we?

Pearce Predhomme Chenin Blanc 2019

$19.95/bottle ($239.40/case of 12*)
This wild-ferment Chenin is made from old bush vines grown in decomposed granite/quartz in the southwestern-most corner of Stellenbosch.

90 points – John Szabo, MS
2019 is a stellar vintage for the Pearce-Predhomme old vine Chenin Blanc made by Radford Dale, always a terrific value and even more so here. There’s an uncommon freshness and liveliness for South Africa/Stellenbosch, with fruit spanning the white-fleshed and citrus spectrum, and acids that drive additional sips. But neither is it just simple white wine; there’s genuine depth and concentration on offer. Complexity should build with a year or two in the cellar, though it’s hard to resist now to be sure. Top notch value.

Its rich texture makes it suitable to be paired with goat cheese, roast chicken and butternut squash. Also perfect with fresh seafood; especially salmon tartare.
