Noble Estates presents two top rated white wines at the LCBO for every occasion.

This week we bring you two whites that are always available at your local Vintages store. The first is an Italian blend that leans towards a Sauvignon Blanc palate and the other a classic Russian River Californian Chardonnay.

2015 Anselmi ‘San Vincenzo’ – $16.95/bottle – Wine Spectator Top 100 –
Roberto Anselmi believes that you need to produce great fruit in order to make great wine. That’s why in 2000 he decided to break from the Soave Consorzio to make what he believes is a much superior wine than that of his large production counterparts. By lowering yields, he is improving the grape quality and in turn better wine.

The San Vincenzo is a blend of Garganega, Sauvignon Blanc, and Chardonnay. It’s a great light and refreshing wine that has definite Sauvignon Blanc characteristics.

2015 Sonoma-Cutrer Chardonnay – $24.95/bottle – 90 points Wine Align –
Sonoma-Cutrer has been producing quality wines since it opened as a vineyard company in 1973. The Russian River region experiences long, even growing seasons thanks to the cool, foggy coastal climate. In the 70’s, the company planted several different grape varieties and virtually overnight Sonoma-Cutrer’s Chardonnay grapes had gained a reputation for exceptional quality and were in high demand by many premium wineries.

Russian River Ranches is a cuvée of distinct vineyard lots, each contributing its own personality to the wine. It has nice bright acidity with a balanced long palate. Normally priced at $27.95 – it is on a limited time offer at the LCBO for $24.95. This is a true gem of a wine for the price!
