Malcolm Jolley talks to Alejandro Hartwig about his family’s Chilean winery…

Alejandro Hartwig spent much of his formative years living in Montréal and Toronto, before his family moved back to Chile and started the Laura Hartwig winery in the Colchagua Valley in the 1980’s. I got in touch with him this week after tasting the 2018 Laura Hartwig Single Estate Cabernet Sauvignon (LCBO# 13428 | $16.95), which I thought was a tremendous value for a $17 wine. In the video interview below, we discuss the wine, and the history of Chilean wine and the story of the Hartwig family.
