Join Lifford’s own Despina and kiwi winemaker Ruud Maasdam of Staete Landt as they talk Sauvignon Blanc and Seafood with Eamon Clark, Rodney’s Head of Purchasing (and 9-time Canadian Shucking Champion).
Here’s what’s on offer for the evening:
- 2 x 750ml bottles of Staete Landt wine: 2020 Mapmaker Sauvignon Blanc and 2019 Annabelle Sauvignon Blanc. Mapmaker is fermented in 100% stainless steel, while the Annabelle sees a touch of oak
- 3 types of Crab: NS Rock, Nfld Snow and MA Jonah served as salads
- Spicy crab cakes
- A whole cracked and cleaned raw Pacific Dungeness crab for you to boil yourselves (Rodney’s is taking care of all the cracking for you, so all you have to do is boil the water and open the bag)
- Also included are freshly shucked Oysters as well as something sweet
