Vineyards of Unmatched Pedigree

Muré is the owner of monopole Clos Saint-Landelin, an area that has been described as the best of Alsace Grand Cru since the 7th Century. To pay their respects to the land, the family is committed to biodynamic farming and persists in hand-picking every grape in order to craft wines that preserve the family’s credo.

To help you discover Muré’s unique interpretation of Alsace, our team has put together two indulgent mixed cases so you can experience the power, elegance, and age-worthiness of a true Alsatian icon.

The Vineyards of MuréMap of Muré vineyards in Alsace

Situated in the southern end of the Alsace wine-growing region (10 miles south of Colmar), the Rouffach vineyards have been famous since Roman times. The Grand Ballon and the Petit Ballon, the two highest peaks of the Vosges Mountains, protect this region from rain-bearing westerly winds, resulting in an exceptionally sunny and dry climate – with just 500mm of rain, Rouffach’s annual precipitation rate is less than that of Nice.

Meet Lagrein, a secret red grape from the German corner of Italy

If you are a fan of Syrah or Pinot Noir, you might be interested to learn that this native Italian grape is very well-connected.

Lagrein has a dense ruby colour like Syrah, scents of blackberries, wild plums, violets and pencil shavings with an irresistible rustic purity. The best plantings are on the high slopes above Bolzano beneath the snow-capped Dolomites, where this wine comes from.

“One of the simple oenological pleasures of northern Italy, Lagrein is a fleshy, juicy, firm red grape with moderate tannins and structure. I love the immediate pleasure, the crunchy, vibrant palate. Fans of zesty reds will find comfort here. Be sure to chill lightly before enjoying”
