Although most of us are familiar with the simplistic, easily enjoyable delights of Vinho Verde, the wines from Portugal’s northern Minho region, very few of us have the opportunity to taste many of the finer and much, MUCH more complex examples.

So this morning, with much joy in my heart I sat down with Teresa Guedes and João Pedro d’Araujo, Viticulturist and Winemaker at Portugal’s Casa de Cello property. Teresa and João Pedro craft some of the very best terroir-driven Vinho Verde I have ever tasted, and both their Vinho Verde and Dão wines are now available through Le Sommelier, so you should be seeing them pop up in some of our better restaurants over the coming months.
