by Norm Hardie for Norman Hardie Winery, a ‘Certified Good Food Fighter’

Taking a break from picking grapes at Norman Hardie Winery, Hillier, Ontario, 2009.

The incredible summer months have led to our earliest harvest ever at Norman Hardie Winery. Thanks to our tireless vineyard crew, the grapes are displaying great potential for this year’s vintage. We’ve already brought in Pinot Noir from Niagara and the County Pinot Noir is still to come.

We are considering two weekends for our harvest, either September 18 & 19 or September 25 & 26.

Harvest time is one of the most enjoyable experiences of the year. As always, we will be serving an “all fresh County meal,” including a slow-roasted suckling pig. To help relax after the hard day’s work you can indulge in a glass of our County Pinot Noir 2008.

If you are interested in participating in this year’s harvest, please click here to let us know as we are compiling a picking database. I will email soon with confirmed dates.

Hope you can join us for this exceptional experience.

Cheers,

Norm
