John’s restaurant Ship to Shore, was named one of Canada’s Top 10 New Restaurants in 2009, by enRoute Magazine. John was also named one of Canada’s “Food Mavericks”, in the October 2010 issue of Tidings magazine.
In addition to his restaurant, farming, and consulting work, John is the three-time (1997, 2001, 2005) Canadian oyster shucking champion. He currently imports high quality seafood into Toronto and Montreal, from his many contacts on the east coast of US and Canada.
