Artist David Shrigley chats with us about his lockdown in Devon and his recent work for the Ruinart Champagne house.

Today we present for your pleasure an extended interview with acclaimed UK Artist David Shrigley.

Over the course of the interview we discuss how his life has changed during lockdown, the realisation that he doesn’t really miss going to the pub, and his recent commission for the Champagne house of Ruinart.

It’s always lovely to catch up with David, as he always brings a smile to my face, and this was no exception.

And just for fun, here’s an audio interview that David and I recorded for Good Food Revolution some 10 years ago. Topics of conversation include the great “British Banger” (read: sausage), the ubiquity of bland continental lagers, deep-fried pizza,  foraging for mushrooms, and offal.

Edinburgh-born/Toronto-based Sommelier, consultant, writer, judge, and educator Jamie Drummond is the Director of Programs/Editor of Good Food Revolution… And he would be most happy to help David get through all that Champagne.
