Thankfully Gaia’s Yiannis has a very good sense of humour about people utterly destroying the pronunciation of his name…

Now, I have never professed to be perfect with my pronunciation of my interviewee’s names, but this episode with Gaia Wines Founder/Owner Yiannis Paraskevopoulos truly takes the proverbial biscuit.

Thankfully the ever-good-natured Paraskevopoulos took it all in his stride, and in the video shows obvious pleasure in correcting my absolutely dreadful failure… I swear it was from the stress of lockdown!

Being an extremely erudite gentleman, he effortlessly fills this extended interview with his musings upon the pandemic, his Prime Minister’s decisive actions to severely lockdown in Early March, the struggling Greek economy, the re-opening of restaurants, and his passion for sailing.

What with the Greek Government today announcing that they were restarting tourism come the 15th of June, I felt there were no better time to post this interview…
