Our silver anniversary in pictures…

Earlier this autumn, Noble Estates celebrated our 25th Anniversary at Vertical restaurant (in First Canadian Place). We were lucky enough to celebrate this great milestone with friends, family, suppliers, media, and many others from the world of wine, kicking off the evening with a tasting of some of our top wines.

Photo 2Penny Murray of Planeta brought not one, but two vintages of their lovely Nero d’Avola. Vito Candela of Farnese Wines sent their Luccarelli “Folle” Primitivo – quite impressive!

photo 3Our friends at Foss Maraï went the extra mile with customized bottles.

photo 4The Fattoria dei Barbi Brunello di Montalcino Riserva from the 2004 vintage was a big hit – our guests, quite understandably, could not get enough.

Many of our guests from Italy were able to make it out for our special night – some having to cross the pond just to get here. Daniela Cester of Bottega and Lisa Anselmi of Anselmi were both able to join us and celebrate their top-selling wines.

photo 7Lorenzo Vavassori and Patrick Cappellini of Cavit Trento enjoying the night. It’s only fair, since so many of us here enjoy their Pinot Grigio and Moscato so often.

photo 8The age old question: what came first – good wine, or good food? We say it doesn’t matter.

Noble Estates was honoured to be able to celebrate 25 years at Vertical. Guests couldn’t get enough of the amazing food prepared by Chef Giacomo Pasquini and his team. Here he is above tossing up some delicious cavatelli for our guests.

photo 9This night had more of a focus on wine, but we could not leave out the spirits! Those who needed a short reprieve from wine headed straight to our Scottish friends. We still feel bad that not everyone (our marketing manager included) didn’t get a taste of this one!

Richard Urquhart and Bill Somerville of Gordon & MacPhail with their 30 year old Benromach whisky. Good laughs, great kilts, and unfathomably enjoyable scotch.

It’s not a celebration without bubbles, bubbles, and more bubbles. Maybe it’s the time of year, but sparkling wines from the world’s four corners were receiving lots of attention throughout the night.
