Our silver anniversary in pictures…
Earlier this autumn, Noble Estates celebrated our 25th Anniversary at Vertical restaurant (in First Canadian Place). We were lucky enough to celebrate this great milestone with friends, family, suppliers, media, and many others from the world of wine, kicking off the evening with a tasting of some of our top wines.
A 6L bottle (imperiale) of Château Le Conseiller 2009, a few bottles of Château La Confession and Hundred Acre’s “Ark Vineyard” Cabernet Sauvignon from the 2012 vintage ready for tasting.
Our friends at Foss Maraï went the extra mile with customized bottles.
The Fattoria dei Barbi Brunello di Montalcino Riserva from the 2004 vintage was a big hit – our guests, quite understandably, could not get enough.
Craig de Blois, President of Noble Estates (centre) with Marine Roupsy (right) and Walter Cramer of Laurent-Perrier Champagne. Their rosé is always a favourite, but on November 6th we had the pleasure of trying their 2006 vintage Champagne.
Many of our guests from Italy were able to make it out for our special night – some having to cross the pond just to get here. Daniela Cester of Bottega and Lisa Anselmi of Anselmi were both able to join us and celebrate their top-selling wines.
Lorenzo Vavassori and Patrick Cappellini of Cavit Trento enjoying the night. It’s only fair, since so many of us here enjoy their Pinot Grigio and Moscato so often.
Noble Estates was honoured to be able to celebrate 25 years at Vertical. Guests couldn’t get enough of the amazing food prepared by Chef Giacomo Pasquini and his team. Here he is above tossing up some delicious cavatelli for our guests.
This night had more of a focus on wine, but we could not leave out the spirits! Those who needed a short reprieve from wine headed straight to our Scottish friends. We still feel bad that not everyone (our marketing manager included) didn’t get a taste of this one!
Richard Urquhart and Bill Somerville of Gordon & MacPhail with their 30 year old Benromach whisky. Good laughs, great kilts, and unfathomably enjoyable scotch.
Jonathan LaRochelle showing off a magnum of his Bellavista Franciacorta.
It’s not a celebration without bubbles, bubbles, and more bubbles. Maybe it’s the time of year, but sparkling wines from the world’s four corners were receiving lots of attention throughout the night.
Our very own Ian Casterton with Martin Perez Cambet of Casarena in Mendoza, Argentina. It wasn’t easy to get them to share the Far Niente! Casarena is making an entry into Ontario – keep an eye out for their wines in the Vintages section.
