New York Wines invites you to a special cocktail hour virtual tasting at 5pm on May 15…

Join WineAlign critics Sara d’Amato and John Szabo MS this Saturday at 5pm for a cocktail hour with New York Wines.

Sara and John explore our closest wine neighbour and the 4th largest wine region in the US. Sip along with these five choices that showcase the diversity of styles made in 3 of New York’s 11 American Viticultural Areas. Find out why riesling is so well-suited to the Finger Lakes region and why bolder reds excel on Long Island. John and Sara will debate the pét-nat style of wine, investigate new rosés for year-round sipping and home in on distinctive cabernet franc and pinot noirs throughout this multi-faceted growing region. Grab a glass and join these intrepid critics on this fun and casual hour where you are encouraged to ask questions and join in on the discussion.

Five wines were selected to give you the best chances of finding at least 2 or 3 of the wines locally. Not all of the wines are required to participate, find what you can. Some are available online at the Destination Collection – Discover the wines of New York and others will be available in the May 15th VINTAGES release as noted below. We recommend that you purchase the online wines ASAP as it can take several days to have them delivered to you. If you are in the Toronto area, the Spadina & King (511) LCBO is carrying most of these and does have some stock of the online wines listed below.
