Domaine Baud estate dates back to 1742, today the 9th generation manages the winery. Siblings Clementine and Bastien, both under 30, are making some of the best-value wines in the area. Jura is that narrow valley in the remote hills between Burgundy and Switzerland, which millions of years ago was covered by an Ocean and today still bares many of the fossils from that time. If you kick a stone in a Jura vineyard, it will probably be a fossil!

1 bottle x Domaine Baud ‘Deux Grains de Paradis’ Côtes du Jura AOC 2020 (Jura, France)
White | Chardonnay, Savagnin
A truly Jura experience. This is a blend of Savagnin and Chardonnay aged in barrel for 3 years. The Savagnin, as is traditional in Jura is aged under flor in barrel where it gathers a slight oxidize quality, similar to Sherry while the chardonnay is made typical fashion. These wines are then blended together and the result is truly fascinating. Roasted apples, baked nuts, candied lemons with a sherry like nose but with a full and fresh Chardonnay/Savagnin palate. Long, beautiful and delicious.

1 bottle x Domaine Baud ‘Les Premices’ Côtes du Jura AOC 2022 (Jura, France)
White | Chardonnay
Silky and full bodied, this oak-aged Chardonnay exhibits classics notes of apples, white flowers and citrus. Grown on marl-limestone soils from the Triassic period, it is a balanced wine on the palate, with a distinctive complexity.

1 bottle x Domaine Baud ‘Rouge Ancestral’ Côtes du Jura AOC 2022 (Jura, France)
Red | Pinot Noir, Trousseau
A delicious blend of Trousseau and Pinot Noir, this cuvée is named “Ancestral” because it is made from Baud’s oldest plots of red grapes planted by Clementine and Bastien’s grandfather. This light and whimsical red wine has aromas of leather and concentrated notes of morello cherry and wild strawberries. The tannins are soft, silky, and elegant. Extra sensation with a light chill.
