Derek Kranenborg took a banking job in Spain and fell in love with the wine, including its most famous, Sherry. Fast forward a few years and Derek has found himself working for The Vine – Robert Groh Agency (where he imports the iconic Equipos Navazos “project Sherries”) and spreading his love as a respected Wine and Spirit Education Trust teacher, with a specialty in Spain. I caught up with him at The Vine’s Toronto offices to talk about Sherry and its unique place in Iberian wine culture for the video below.
