Harlen Wheatley is the Master Distiller at Buffalo Trace, the Kentucky Bourbon producer that has been at the forefront of that whiskey’s renaissance in the last 20 years. I caught up with the man at before a tasting at the Summerhill LCBO and asked him about Buffalo Trace, the new interest in boutique bourbons and how he got into the craft in the first place.
