Severino

Severino relaxes before his Toronto appearance

Good Food Revolution were first introduced to Italian-born, London-based DJ Severino through erstwhile LCD Soundsystem frontman James Murphy over dinner at the much-lamented Jamie Kennedy Wine Bar way back in… hmmm… 2008?

After a night of superb food and wine Severino and James went off to DJ at Toronto’s Wrongbar and a good night was had by all, with Severino promising to come back and visit Toronto once again.

Late last Summer Severino kept good to his promise and took some time from his hectic touring schedule to spend some quality time in Toronto, visiting many a restaurant, wandering the markets, trawling through record stores, and spinning a few tunes.

We sat down with the infamous Horse Meat Disco’s resident Italian to speak about his love of food, his roots in Emilia Romagna, and his culinary experiences around the globe… and we forgot to ask him if he had ever tried horse meat. Damn.
