Beamsville, ON – Rosewood Estates is proud to partner with legendary Toronto Maple Leaf and four Time Stanley Cup winning goalie, Johnny Bower, to craft his signature 2009 Johnny Bower Merlot. This limited edition wine will be released on Sunday June 5th at Rosewood Estates Winery with Johnny Bower officially presenting the wine. The event will run from 10:30am to approx 2pm.

The Rosewood team invites you to this free wine release occurring in Beamsville Ontario on Sunday June 5th (http://www.rosewoodwine.com/johnny-bower-wine-release-event-june-5th) to meet and mingle with Johnny Bower while sipping on his limited edition Johnny Bower. Located on the renowned Beamsville Bench that same weekend a great block party, Graze The Bench (http://www.grazethebench.com/page/event ) with 7 other wineries will also be occurring from 12pm to 5pm. Celebrating new wine releases, food and live music it’s a great way to experience some of Canada’s best wineries and get to enjoy some great fun with family and friends.

“I never imagined I’d ever have a wine named after me. I’m just a hockey player “ says the Maple Leaf alum known for his daring on ice maneuvers like his signature Poke Check and playing with no face mask.

The Leaf alum and tireless fan was sure to choose a local winery to release his special edition wine. Working with Johnny from wine to label concept, “ I can’t believe we got to work with a such an admired and respected hockey legend like Johnny Bower ” says Renata Roman, one of the owners of Rosewood. “ A lot of people grew up watching Johnny and it’s been an unbelievable experience working with him. We are all excited and passionate about this project and hope everyone gets to enjoy the wine as much as we do. “
