Some seven years ago I had a wonderfully long lunch at Toronto’s Biff’s bistro with the utterly charming Francoise Gazeau. Being no stranger to the bubbly vinous pleasures of the Limoux region, you can be sure that I certainly had my fill of her house Antech‘s excellent sparkling wines that day.

This morning I was thinking about that lunch and my fascinating conversations with Francoise as I set up my Zoom call with her son, Baptiste, who was generous enough to spend some time with me tasting through their superb 2018 Antech Cuvée Eugénie Brut Crémant de Limoux, an absolute steal at a remarkable $23.95 (not $26 as I incorrectly state in the video). This wine should be released by LCBO Vintages at the end of this week.
