After so many years in the varietal wilderness, it is so excellent to see truly top quality Pinotage being made by houses like Kanonkop. We sat down with long-time Kanonkop Winemaker Abrie Beeslaar for a blether about some of the problems that have faced this relatively new varietal, and what can been done to rein in some of its less appealing characteristics.
