Rasoul Salehi waxing lyrical about barrel size in Trinity Bellwoods Park.

On a hot Toronto summer afternoon we took over a picnic table in Trinity Bellwoods park once again for one of our guerrilla tastings/interviews.

One day Toronto’s Finest are going to bust us for hosting these, but that certainly didn’t happen upon this glorious day.

We were tasting the wines of Le Vieux Pin and La Stella from BC’s Okanagan region with the passionate and informed Rasoul Salehi… and his passion is infectious.

Tasting alongside Rasoul reminds me of why I got into this line of work many years ago, as he is a gentleman who truly believes in the quality and integrity of the wines he represents.

Oh… and the wines were rather smashing.

Here’s to more park interviews like this!

Both Le Vieux Pin and La Stella are available through B&W Wines.

Edinburgh-born/Toronto-based Sommelier, consultant, writer, judge, and educator Jamie Drummond is the Director of Programs/Editor of Good Food Revolution…  And he was extremely impressed with these wines… and the lady sunbathing nearby our picnic table.
