This week, we explore the wines of Francisco Baettig and Carlos de Carlos’ operations in both Traiguén and the Maule Valley, Chile.

In Part One of this extended two-parter, I speak with Carlos about the origins of Viños Baettig and how the two of them came to make what many view as the very best Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in the southern hemisphere.
