Woodman Wines & spirits presents Beronia winemaker Matias Calleja at Cava on February 27.

Woodman Wines & Spirits is proud to present a collaborative dinner at Cava Restaurant with the revered Bodegas Beronia of Rioja.

On Monday February 27th, we will be joined by Beronia’s winemaker Matias Calleja, who will speak to the fabulous wines he makes. After more than 30 years of dedication to his craft and after holding many different roles in Bodegas Beronia, Matias Calleja became Technical Director in 1996. Thanks to his experience, the hard work of his team, and his ambition, he has become the heart and soul of Bodegas Beronia. Matias has transmitted his personality to the wines as he determines the exact coupage of each bottling. This gives each wine a unique character best described as “Beronia Style”. His philosophy is based on high-quality, respect for the environment, and the challenge of combining the purest Rioja style with an innovative spirit.

To complement the wines of Beronia – Chefs Doug Penfold and Jeremy Saluma will present a menu (see beow) that celebrates the vast culinary delights of the Iberian peninsula.

Tickets for the evening are $120 per person, exclusive of taxes and gratuities. Availability will be extremely limited!
