Aged Sancerre?

Pascal Gitton

Pascal Gitton presented us with one of the most exhaustive degustations of Sancerre and Pouilly Fumé imaginable… some going back decades.

In the third of our series of Loire interviews we talk with Winemaker Pascal Gitton about the secrets behind his incredibly age-worthy Sancerres. Now who would have ever thought that one could have aged Sancerre? Now the question many ask is how did they taste? Well, imagine a fine aged Sauternes without any of the sweetness and you are two thirds of the way there. Most fascinating.
