Nutcracker High Tea
Inspired by the Nutcracker ballet, executive chef Damon Campbell and his team of expert patisseries have created a Nutcracker High Tea menu with themed Nutcracker pastries such as the “Spanish Dance” chocolate truffle, the “Arabian Dance” coffee opera cake and the “Dance of the Reed Flutes” Danish marzipan cake.
Other menu items include a selection of finger sandwiches: roasted turkey with cranberry preserve on herb country bread, honey baked ham with caramelized onion on whole wheat bread, as well as favourites like smoked salmon and egg mayonnaise on marble rye bread and cucumber with herb boursin cheese on granary bread. To finish on a sweet note, guests can savor selected tea cakes and scones served with devonshire cream, house-made berry jam and citrus marmalade while sipping tea chosen from a selection of over 75 premium teas.
The Nutcracker High Tea which debuts on December 1, is priced at CAD$40 per person or CAD$25 per child and is served daily from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Lobby Lounge. The Nutcracker High Tea service will be accompanied by live performances from award winning pianist Thompson Egbo-Egbo, the recipient of the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award in the province of Ontario.
