Biff's Chef de Cuisine Amanda Ray is enjoying her restaurant's new look.

Biff’s Chef de Cuisine Amanda Ray is clearly enjoying her restaurant’s new look.

Biff’s Bistro on Front Street has been a tranquil haven of Gallic-edged gastronomy for coming up on two decades now. Taking over the space once occupied by Michael Carlevale’s Boston Club, Biff’s has been diligently dishing up its own take on the bistro classics with admirable panache and a very particular sense of refinement.

Due to some unfortunate plumbing issues in the building above, the establishment was recently flooded and then promptly closed for repairs and renovations. Reopening just last week with a stylish new look and a superb new menu, Biff’s Bistro is back.

We sat down with Chef de Cuisine Amanda Ray for a chat about what’s been going on at this Front Street favourite, and yes, you heard correctly, she did say the F word… Fondue.
