The Drake Hotel launched its winter cultural programming season with eggnog, (boozy) hot chocolate and a drink based on the marshmallow dessert, s’mores (was actually pretty good) on January 27. Journalists after snacks ranging from popcorn shrimp to Gingerbread men, were encouraged to roast their own homemade marshmallows over the fire pit on the Drake’s rooftop Sky Yard, where outdoor drinking and grazing is encouraged snow or shine and blankets are available to help keep warm. Under the stars, I interviewed The Drake’s curator Mia Neilsen about the space she created for diners and imbibers up there for the video below…
